Report on Ayurwhiz 5th Edition of National level Quiz Competition and JAAD organised by Himalaya Wellness Company on 24th May 2023. Himalaya Wellness Company is conducting National level Quiz Competition i.e. Ayurwhiz since the past five years which is designed for Ayurvedic Medical College students to exhibit their knowledge and acuity on an exciting platform that attracts sharp minds from all corners of the nation. Over the years, we have come to believe that it is not just the contest alone, but the whole journey spread over months of rigorous engagement that provides an exhilarating experience for students amidst their routine of learning. Students studying in the Final Year/III Professional BAMS, as well as interns, are eligible for participation in the same. Also Himalya wellness Company is awarding the two toppers of Final year with Jeevaka Award and Ayurvisharda Award from the past 15 years. After the ascendancy acquired in the earlier four editions, 5th season of Ayurwhiz and JAAD was held in our college on 24th May, 2023 in which more than 175 students of Final Year, Third year and Interns participated in the Preliminary round. After the screening, top 10 finalists were paired into 5 teams by them which further compete with each other through a quiz of more than 4 audio-visual rounds. There were 5 teams and winning team comprising of Amrish Goyal and Guranchal Kaur from Final year will further compete in cluster level round and will represent our college at the State level. In the valedictory ceremony all the final 10 participants were awarded by a Participation certificate and prize from Himalaya Company. Also Khushboo Chopra (Batch 2017) received Jeevaka award with cash prize of 15,000 and Simranjit Kaur (Batch 2017) got Ayurvisharada Award with cash prize of 10,000 from Himalaya Wellness Company. Lastly our Principal sir Dr. Jadhav Viraj Vilas and co-ordinator of the event Dr. Chinky Goyal were also felicitated with a token of love from Dr Eliza and other team members of Himalaya Wellness Company.

World Ayurved Congress was inaugrated at Panji, Goa in the presence of Union Minister of state for Tourism and Shipping, Ports and waterways Shripad Naik, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha. The 9th WAC aims to showcase the efficiency of and strength of Ayush Syestem of Medicine at Global Level. Prime Minister also attended the world Ayurved Congress (WAC) organised by Minister of Ayush. With the aim of boosting infrastructure and promoting research in traditional medicine. "The Saraswati Ayurved Hospital and Medical College" also attended the WAC, Goa with its Principal, teaching staff with their NSS team. Our 4500 participants from all over the world including 400 foreign delegates from 53 countries are participating in the 9th World Congress and Arogya Expo. The Arogya Expo is set to witness participation of more than 215 companies, leading Ayurveda brands, medicine manufacturers and Ayurveda realated educational and Research and Development Institutions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the valedictory function of WAC




27 August 2022 Debate and extempore Debate and extempore competition was organised in Saraswati group of colleges on 27 August 2022. Competition was organised by NSS students. This competition was held in the guidance of NSS coordinators Dr Neha sharma Dr Amandeep aman Dr Nikita sharma




7th International Ayurveda Congress in Kathmandu, Nepal from 3-5th March, 2023. The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Pushpa Kamal Dahal “ Prachand” of Nepal and there were more than 300 delegates from different regions of globe. In this 7th IAVC, I was one among the paper presenters. After that I got chance to give interview in सचेतना कार्यक्रम of NTV (Nepal Television) News Channel.

20th July 2022 Tree plantation On 20th July Saraswati group of colleges organized a program in which 200 saplings and young trees were distributed. The objective of this event was to teach students, how we can save our climate from pollution. This was a great initiative to make our atmosphere neat and clean, By tree plantation we can develop a climax ecosystem free of greenhouse gases to reduce global warming. NSS organized this program and about 200 seedlings were planted by the students of our campus and then watered by gardeners of the college. Teachers also participated in the tree plantation program. The main purpose of this event was to enhance awareness about the importance of tree plantation. In the end Director of our college Mr. B.L Aggarwal addressed and thanked teachers and students for coming and participating in thae activity. Overall, this was an excellent and glorious event for all , we felt inner peace by doing something good for our nation.




17 March 2022- Holi celebration Holi is the most popular festivals in Hinduism.[1][9] It celebrates the eternal and divine love of Radha Krishna. Holi was celebrated in Saraswati Group of Colleges on 17 March 2022 and it was a very happy occasion for our college because on this day because on this day a NSS started in our college in which the chief guest Mr. BL Aggarwal and the management team of Saraswati group of colleges was present. Program was hosted by Dr amandeep aman And the NSS team Dr Neha sharma Dr Amandeep aman Dr Nikita sharma The program was celebrated very well and on this day everyone was also told about the NSS objectives and it's goal All the interested students got themselves registered for the NSS.




NSS INTRODUCTION The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level and student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes.The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. Since inception of the NSS in the year 1969, the number of students strength increased from 40,000 to over 3.8 million up to the end of March 2018 students in various universities, colleges and Institutions of higher learning have volunteered to take part in various community service programmes.

To celebrate 7 th World Ayurveda Day 2022 as per the instructions of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India “Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda” Campaign under NSS, Dr. Chinky Goyal and Dr. Tanuj Bhatia were assigned as the co-ordinators of the theme “Ayurveda for Millenials” under which Health Awareness lecture was conducted in Govt. school of village Gharuan. 60 students of 11 th and 12 th standard from Govt. Model Senior Secondary Smart School, Gharuan actively participated in the event. Students were taught regarding implementation of Ayurveda in Day to Day Life through power point presentation. Students actively participated in the same as an interactive session was conducted. To build self-confidence and to improve communication skills amongst our students, BAMS 2 nd year students Riti Sharma, Kritika and Vishesh were motivated to deliver the lecture to the school students. A very good response was received from the students.

Dr. Pushkar Dutt Vashistha, M.D Panchakarma was the "Guest of Honour" who shared his expertise and abundant knowledge with our students. Dr. Pushkar Dutt Vashistha is the Secretory of Vishwa Ayurved Parishad, Haryana and member of Arogya Bharti, Haryana. He is an expert Ayurveda consultant and Panchakarma specialist from Jagadhri, Haryana. He finished his M.D from Uttarakhand Ayurved University. Dr.Viraj Vilas Jadhav, Principal, Saraswati Ayurveda Hospital & Medical College , welcomed Dr. Pushkar Dutt Vashistha in the Guest lecture and workshop. Seminar on "Career Opportunities in Ayurveda" (11th April, 2022) We are delighted to inform you that Saraswati Ayurved Hospital and Medical College, organized Seminar on "Career Opportunities in Ayurveda" on 11th April, 2022. Dr. Vikas Saroch, MD/Founder -Himalayan Heal pharmaceutical company was the "Guest of Honour" who shared his expertise and abundant knowledge with our students. Dr. Vikas Saroch is the managing director and founder of the Himalayan Heal Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Company. He is an expert Ayurveda consultant from the land of God and Goddess (Himachal Pradesh).He finished his M.D from one of India’s top 10 institutions (KLEs Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Belgaum). He has been provided with numerous study works on both domestic and international platforms. He currently runs his own dream project Himalayan Heal Ayurvedic Pharmacy, one export unit, his Himalayan Heal Ayuvedic Wellness center at Mohali (Punjab), Baddi, Sansarpur and Dharamsala (Himachal Pradesh) and serves patients free online consultation. Guest lecture on "Understanding infertility in the context of Indian medical pluralism:, Āyurveda and Karmavipāka" (1st April, 2022) We are delighted to inform you that Swasthavritta Department of Saraswati Ayurved Hospital and Medical College, organized Guest lecture on "Understanding infertility in the context of Indian medical pluralism:, Āyurveda and Karmavipāka" on 1st April, 2022. Dr. Caterina Guenzi- Associate Professor at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris - Member of the Centre for South Asian Studies (CEIAS) was the "Guest of Honour" who shared her expertise and abundant knowledge with our students. Caterina Guenzi holds a doctorate in Social Anthropology from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) & University of Siena. Since 2008, she is Associate Professor at the EHESS and member of the Centre for South Asian Studies (CEIAS, Paris). She has conducted most of her ethnographic research in north India focusing on astrological counselling among middle and upper class urban families. She is currently completing a monography based on her translation of the Karmavipākasaṃhitā, an early modern Sanskrit treatise that provides explanation and treatment for infertility through 108 past life narratives. During her fieldwork in Chandigarh (2021-2022), she will be investigating the plural landscape of assisted reproductive technologies. During lecture, Dr. Caterina Guenzi explained the concept of infertility and its management through Ayurveda. She also motivated the students to work on this untouched field of Ayurveda. One day workshop on"Siravedha” ( 07th March, 2022) We are delighted to inform you that Panchkarma Department of Saraswati Ayurved Hospital and Medical College, organized One Day workshop on"Siravedha" on 7th March, 2022. Dr. Sumit Thakkar, M.D (Ayu.) was the "Guest of Honour" who shared his expertise and abundant knowledge with our students. Dr. Sumit Thakkar is working as an Assistant Professor in department of Kayachikitsa at Guru Nanak Ayurvedic Medical College, Muktsar (Punjab). He is an expert Ayurveda consultant and Panchakarma specialist. He finished his M.D from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. Dr.Viraj Vilas Jadhav, Principal, Saraswati Ayurveda Hospital & Medical College , welcomed Dr. Sumit Thakkar in the workshop. Dr. Sumit Thakkar gave live demonstration of Siravedha technique and discussed about the various case studies. And explained about the conceptual approach of Raktamokshana in Ayurveda. Dr. CM Devasawar- Associate professor (Doon Institute of medical sciences Shankarpur Dehradun (UK), Dr. Shivanand Kawane- Associate professor -(Ramrao Patil Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya Purna, Parbhani, Maharashtra) and Dr. Suhas Khote - Associate professor (VP Ayurvedic Medical college, Jalana Maharashtra) was the keynote speakers of the event who shared his expertise and abundant knowledge with our students. Topic of the lecture was “Importance of Suvarna prashan in children" by Dr Vaishali Patil and "Lifestyle and Ayurveda" by Dr Avneet Kaur.

Free Medical Camp at Kurali, Distt Mohali, Punjab on 12th Decemeber, 2021 Free medical camp was organised by Saraswati Ayurveda hospital and Medical College ,Mohali (Punjab) at kurali, where team has done free medical checkup, lab investigations and distributed free medicines. Camp was successfully organised under the guidance of Principal Dr. Viraj Vilas Jadhav , DMS Dr. Nidhi , Dr. Indu (M.S. )( Stree n Prasuti), Dr Neha Sharma ( M.D). (kayachikitsa), Dr. Nitika (M.S.) Free Medical Camp at Morinda, Distt Ropar, Punjab on 12th Decemeber, 2021 Free medical camp was organised by Saraswati Ayurveda hospital and Medical college ,Mohali (Punjab) at morinda, where team has done free medical checkup, lab investigations and distributed free medicines. Approximate 60 patients came for the health check-up, they were advised various medicines and consultation for various diseases. Camp was successfully organised under the guidance of Principal Dr. Viraj Vilas Jadhav , DMS Dr. Nidhi , Dr. Rashim kanwar (M.D. Kayachikitsa), Dr. Sneha pal ( M.S. Shalya ) and Dr. Pooja Sharma (M.S. Stree Roga) Management of SAHMC, Mr. B.L. Aggarwal , Mr. Lokesh goyal, Mr. Shubham Aggarwal make this event possible by their continuous support and encouragement. Guest lecture (8th October, 2021): Guest lecture on 08.10.2021 was delivered on ‘medicinal properties of honey’, by Dr. Mriduala Chopra. who is a researcher in London, UK. She talked about her current research in which she’s working on ‘Honey’ to study about its anti-cancerous properties. The lecture added to the learning experience of the students and educated them about ongoing researches on ‘makshikam’. After the lecture ended, the ceremony of medicinal tree plantation was followed.




Hrudyadravya Mahotsava ( 1st October, 2021): A National seminar on ‘importance of hrudyadravyas’ was conducted by the institute on 01.10.2021. The programme was co-ordinated under the supervision of Dr. Nitin Juneja, H.O.D. (Dept. Of Dravyaguna), and Dr. Amandeep Aman, Assist. Prof. (Dept. Of Dravyaguna). Suvarnaprashan camp (04-09-2021) Suvarnaprashan camp was held at Saraswati ayurveda hospital and medical College, Gharuan, Mohali (Punjab) on 04-09-2021 ( Pushya nakshatra) by Balrog Department under the guidance of Dr. Vaishali Patil (Association Professor) and Dr. Rashim kanwar ( Assistant Professor) Suvarnaprashana described in Kashyapa Samhita is intended to boost memory, intelligence and immunity in infants. It is one of the oldest application of gold nano medicine. Suvarnaprashana therapy is becoming widely popular and being administered on the Pushya nakshatra of every month at Ayurveda centers across India.




Vaaman Dvadashi Mela 16-17 Sepetember, 2021 On the occasion of Vaaman dvadashi mela held on 16-17 September 2021 at Snehhit Sarovar,Kurukshetra . A team from Saraswati Ayurveda hospital and Medical college ,Mohali (Punjab) went Kurukshetra for free medical camp where team has done free medical checkup and distributed medicines and medicinal plants . Chief guests of the event was honorable Governer of Haryana Mr.Bandaru Dattatreya, Ayush University vice chancellor Dr.Baldev Dhiman, Sh. Nayab Singh (M.P.) Sh. Mewa Singh (MLA) Sh. Sandeep Singh (MLA). Approximate 200 patients came for the health check up, we adviced various medicines and consultation during the camp under ministry of ayush azadi ka Amrit mahotsav "Hamara Ayush Hamara Swasthya". Camp was successfully organised under the guidance of Principal Dr. Viraj vilas jadhav , Chairperson Dr. Neha sharma , Dr. Nitika ganjoo, Dr. Abhishek jasra and Dr. Nitin juneja. Special thanks to our management Mr. B.L. Aggarwal , Mr. Lokesh goyal, Mr. Shubham aggarwal who helped us to make this event successful. Kurukshetra Medical Camp (18th Sept, 2021) On 18.09.2021, a medical camp was organized by SAHMC, Gharuan in Kurukshetra, Haryana, the city where the epic battle of Mahabharata was fought. Students of BAMS 4th year actively participated in the medical camp. After reaching our set goal of 200 free health check-ups, the students distributed medicinal plant saplings to people nearby, and educated them about their medicinal properties. Following this, a felicitation ceremony was organized in the college to distribute the certificates of participation in camp to the students, and encourage them to keep up their spirit. Certificates were distributed by Dr. Viraj Vilas Jadhav (Principal, SAHMC) and the respected members of the committee.




Inaugration : The inauguration ceremony of ‘Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ programme was held on 02.09.2021 in the college campus. Mr. BL Aggarwal (Chairman, SGC), Mr. Lukesh Goyal (Director, SGC), and Mr. Shubham Aggarwal (Director, SGC) were invited as the chief guests. After seeking blessings from lord Dhanvantari by lamp lighting and chanting Dhanwantari vandana, using the motto ‘‘Hamara AYUSH, Hamara Swasthya’’, the whole programme was narrated by respected members of the committee and approval of the management was granted. Dr. Nikita Sharma, Dr. Shilpa Gupta, Dr. Monika, Dr. Avneet Kaur, Dr. Amandeep Aman, Dr. Indu Kumari, Dr. Sneha Pal, Dr. Kusum Mahajan, Dr. Neha Patiyal, Dr. Alka Pathak, Dr. Nancy Shahi Aggarwal, and various other faculty members also attended the ceremony. Following this, medicinal saplings were planted within and outside the institute campus in order to kickstart the ‘Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ programme.




‘Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (2nd Sept, 2021) Introduction: SAHMC, Gharuan is an esteemed ayurveda institute, situated in Distt. Mohali (Punjab). Since its establishment in the year 2016, the college has been actively contributing in the direction of health by distributing medicinal plants, organizing health camps and seminars, and conducting free health check-ups from time to time. In context to the ongoing ‘Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ programme proposed by Government Of India, the above mentioned activities have gained boost in the institute. A committee for the same is formed by the management in which Mr. BL Aggarwal (Chairman, SGC), Mr. Lukesh Goyal (Director, SGC), and Mr. Shubham Aggarwal (Director, SGC) are serving as the Patrons. The committee is supervised by Dr. Viraj Vilas Jadhav (Principal, SAHMC), and Dr. Neha Sharma (Chairperson). Furthermore, Dr. Nitika Ganjoo, Dr. Nitin Juneja, and Dr. Abhishek Jasra are respected members of the committee, and are given the responsibility to smoothly conduct the activities of the programme.
