Program Overview
M.Sc. Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology is a two-year multidisciplinary program designed to teach skills for working as an assistant to the consultant anesthesiologist and surgical team as well as to assist in the preparation of operation theatre before & during a planned or emergency surgery. The new-age course offered SGC imparts advanced skills involved in the handling of anesthetic equipment as well as pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient monitoring and care.
The major subjects taught in the B.Sc. Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology are CSSD Procedures, Clinical Microbiology, Anesthesia for specialty surgeries, Basics of Surgery, and more. Apart from gaining academic skills, you will be participating in workshops, and seminars, learning soft skills and doing a dissertation to gain an understanding of the worldview of your field of study.
Admission Eligibility Criteria
The minimum education requirements shall be
- Candidates with 50% marks (5% relaxation for reserved categories) in Bachelor’s Degree in Anaesthesia& Operation Theatre Technology are eligible for admission to this course.
- The candidate shall be medically fit.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
