Program Overview

Bachelor of Science in Nursing abbreviated as B.Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate program that aims at teaching the theories and principles of nursing and allied sciences. The advanced program offered by Saraswati Group of Colleges (SGC), Top B.Sc. Admission Eligibility Criteria
  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year and the maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
  • Minimum Educational Qualification to apply in Top B.Sc. Nursing College in Punjab
    Candidate with Science/Arts/Humanities/Commerce who have passed the 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the core/elective/academic subjects taken together and passed English individually. The above candidates should have passed from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board.

APPLIED PHYSIOLOGY
The course is designed to assists student to acquire comprehensive knowledge of the normal functions of the organ systems of the human body.

APPLIED SOCIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY
This course is designed to enable the students to develop understanding about basic concepts of sociology and psychology.

NURSING FOUNDATION 1
This course is designed to help novice nursing students develop knowledge and competencies required to provide basic nursing care for adult patients.

APPLIED BIOCHEMISTRY
The course is designed to assist the students to acquire knowledge of the normal biochemical composition.

APPLIED NUTRITION AND DIETICS
The course is designed to assist the students to acquire basic knowledge and understanding of the principles of Nutrition and Dietetics.

NURSING FOUNDATION 2
This course is designed to help novice nursing students develop knowledge and competencies required to provide using nursing process approach.

NURSING FOUNDATIONS 1 & 2 (SKILL LAB & CLINICAL)
On completion of the course, the students will be able to implement basic nursing techniques.

INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING
This course is designed to help students develop broad perspectives of health, its determinants, about community health nursing and understanding about the health care delivery services, health care policies and regulations in India.

INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING- PRACTICUM
This course is designed to help students provide basic nursing care in community setting.

APPLIED MICROBIOLOGY AND INFECTION CONTROL INCLUDING SAFETY
Section A (Applied microbiology): This course is designed to enable students to acquire understanding of fundamentals of Microbiology.
Section B (Infection control including safety): This course is designed to help students to on identifying patient safety indicators, preventing and managing hospital acquired infections.

PHARMACOLOGY I
This course is designed to enable students to acquire understanding of Pharmaco-dynamics, Pharmaco-kinetics, principles of therapeutics & nursing implications.

ADULT HEALTH NURSING I WITH INTEGRATED PATHOPHYSIOLOGY (including BCLS module)
This course is designed to equip the students to develop competencies required for assessment, diagnosis, treatment and nursing management of patients.

CLINICAL PRACTICUM
On completion of the clinical practicum, the students will be able to apply nursing process and critical thinking in delivering holistic nursing care.

ADULT HEALTH NURSING II WITH INTEGRATED PATHOPHYSIOLOGY INCLUDING GERIATRIC NURSING (with Health Assessment module)
This course is designed to equip the students to develop competencies required for assessment, diagnosis, treatment and nursing management.

ADULT HEALTH NURSING II – CLINICAL PRACTICUM
On completion of the clinical practicum, the students will develop proficiency in applying nursing process to the adult / geriatric patients admitted in Critical Care Units.

PATHOPHYSIOLOGY INCLUDING GERIATRIC NURSING (with Health Assessment module)
This course is designed to equip the students to make assessment, diagnosis, treatment, nursing management, and supportive /palliative and rehabilitative care to adult patients with various Medical Surgical disorders.

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN NURSING EDUCATION
This course is designed to help the students to competencies essential for applying basic principles of teaching and learning among individuals and groups both in educational and clinical settings.

CHILD HEALTH NURSING I
This course is designed for developing an understanding of the modern approach to child-care, identification, prevention and nursing management of common health problems of neonates and children.

CHILD HEALTH NURSING I
On completion of the course, the students will be able tocare to children with common pediatric surgical conditions/ malformation.

MENTAL HEALTH NURSING I
This course is designed to develop basic understanding of the principles and standards of mental health nursing.

Login to the SGCADMIT with an already created username/ password. * Your email id will act as your username for the portal while the password will be set by you upon registration.

Step 2 – Book Your Slot

After successfully creating your candidate SGCADMITprofile, you’ll be taken to registration fee page. Pay your fees by logging into the dashboard and complete your profile.

Step 3 – University Examination (PPMET)

After successfully booking the seat, the candidates have to fill the PPMET application form. The link for registration shall be available/sent on your profile and email.

Step 4 – Counselling

Upon successfully clearing the PPMET exam, you have to apply for counseling through your SGC portal, followed by SOP uploading.

Step 5 – Admission

You become eligible for admission into Saraswati Group of Colleges after the declaration of counseling result and submission of requisite fees.
