Students will learn basic concepts of cells, tissues, blood and to understand anatomy and physiology of human body. This subject will develop an understanding of the structure and function of organs and organ systems in normal human body for their better understanding in clinical practice.
AppliedBiochemistry
Students will learn knowledge of basic chemistry and biochemistry involved in physiology of human body. They will be able to understand the biochemical reactions in the human body, evaluate the reports generated by laboratory and shall be able to understand important information related to patient health/disease.
Communication Skills
This course will allow students to learn and appreciate communication skills, since they are important in daily life. Communication skills, language skills, personal habits, empathy (emotional knowledge or cognitive awareness), and leadership characteristics are some of the skills that make up social graces and are important in any profession.
Human Anatomy and Physiology – 1 (Practical)
To introduce the students to the concepts related to General anatomy, Muscular, Respiratory, Circulatory, Digestive and Excretory system. Demonstrate and understand the basic anatomy of various systems of the body, understand terminology, differentiate between cells and tissues.
Applied Biochemistry (Practical)
Introduction to Personnel protective equipment used in laboratory and their importance, basic concepts of clinical biochemistry, learn principles of various conventional laboratory investigations and instruments, analysis and interpretation of data from a lab.
Communication Skills (Practical)
To develop communication skills of a graduate technician by emphasizing on writing, speaking & listening skills.
Medical Law and Ethics
Legal and ethical considerations are firmly believed to be an integral part of medical practice in planning patient care. The course will enable students to learn the laws, ethics and official regulations that form the legal framework to regulate medical practice.
Medical Terminology, Record keeping and Orientation to Operation theatre Technology and Management
This course introduces the elements of medical terminology and familiarity with medical words. Terminology related to the human anatomy, reading medical orders and reports, and terminology specific to the student’s field of study.
Human Values, De-addiction and Traffic Rules
This course is intended to provide an orientational input in Value Education to the young enquiring minds, to help the students appreciate the essential complementarily between values and skills for a better management of life values.
